How long to deep fry breaded raw chicken strips?
Got the Hooters breaded and sauce and was going to make chicken strips. Have no idea how long to deep fry them?
You need to have the oil a heck of a lot hotter than any 160* F!! If you cook them in oil that cool, they will be very greasy and take for bloody ever to get done!
Your oil should be at least 350* F. and cook them until they reach an internal temperature of 165*F.
In a home deep fryer, don’t put in many chicken strips at the time. Overloading the fryer will cause your oil to cool too much and they will be greasy.
Cook them a few at the time and keep the temperature high.
