Swatow
hi guys, has anyone ever heard of Lonkee Swatow?

I have come across a glass cup, come jug inside is glass but the outside is covered in what looks like silver, the patterns are i think japanese dragons engraved out of the silverall aroun the item on the bottom is it says Lonkee Swatow ?

“Lonkee” is most likely the company that manufactured the item. “Swatow” refers to the chinese city where it was manufactured. Swatow is also known as Shantou:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/shantou…

Swatow is a chinese port city on the coast of the China Sea. A course porcelain widely known as “swatow ware” was manufactured there and shipped all over the world in the 16th and 17th centuries. It is still a manufacturing center and is known for metal castings and metal work in addition to ceramics ware.

If you do a Yahoo search for “lonkee” and “swatow” you will find more information.

Good luck with your valuation.
