Persian – The facts every owner of this cat breed should know
The origins of Persian cats are bleak at best. Some argue that the Persian is descended from the sand cat, but it can be proven. It is also thought that some Angoras were bred with long hair or hair long Chinese Russian, but again, this increase is uncertain. There is also the suggestion that long hair came to China as a gift from the king of Persia, but there no evidence of that. What is known is that Perisans were recognized as their own distinct breed by the 19th century and came to America at about the same time. This long-haired cat is in a great variety of colors that is very thick, making it likely to mate.
A Persian coat is so thick hair looks as if she stands at the end. Regular grooming is an absolute necessity for avoid this problem, including regular brushing and bathing. Any matting that is not attended to can cause uncomfortable skin infections.
Described as a gentle cat, Persians are not particularly active. Although they enjoy running and playing, they spend a good part of the day sleep. This makes them particularly suited for apartment life because they do not require much space to exercise. The gentle nature of Persia is also a good choice for families with children, but they do not always play like children.
Persians are also very faithful to their families and, like sticking close to them, making them less likely to stray. However, some Persians can be stubborn, making them resistant to the litter box training. Persians may be subject to medical problems, including the constriction of the nostrils, eyes Cherry, tear overflow duct, dental malocclusions, polycystic kidney disease, entropion, and seborrhea oleosa.
