Olympic Village Impresses Mock Dwellers in Chinese culture

Over 2,000 "athletes" who poured in Beijing Olympic Village in the latest test compounds athletes are asked to be picky and demanding.

"For most athletes (foreigners) I spoke with, they are impressed by Chinese culture. They want to try to feel what real culture China is, "said Deng.

"The village is a place where athletes can relax and get to know Chinese culture. We want to give them a full experience with Chinese culture. "

The Olympic Village is divided into two halves north and south. In the north, or the International Space, the Bureau Chief of the village square pavilion, shopping areas, restaurants and entertainment facilities and fitness. In the south are the apartments of athletes, whose main doors are decorated with a panel of art in bronze.

Chinese craft shop is located in the International Zone, painted with Chinese traditional colors of red, yellow and blue. Approximately 20 artisans will demonstrate their talent in embroidery, woodcarving, painting and Peking Opera masks during the Games.

"Athletes can watch the artists finish their work, and they can buy what they want "Said Wang Jinqiang, the manager of the labor room.

The Beijing Olympic Games Village will officially open in July 27 and close August 27. Also in the Paralympic Village, it will reopen its doors on August 30 and end on September 20.
