I am looking for a Chinese art restoration service in So. California. I have a carved and painted floor screen
This screen is wooden, but the wood does not appear to be solid.
I’m not certain whether you are in LA or San Diego which would help. Brookes Restorations in LA is one of the best. We had an interior design business in LA for some 30 years. They did restorations for the Huntington Library, the Getty museum and Hearst Castle. In San Diego, there is an old chinese restorer at Ghengis Khan who pretty much knows who’s who’ for the type of restoration your sceen requires. He led us to a British Guy who restored a highly carved antique trunk we personally inherited who did a beautiful job.
