Who should I contact to find out what a stone carving I found it Minnesota is?
It is boat shaped with a rectangle on top. Bigger then a football.
I tried emailing the Minnesota Historical Society, but not response from them.
The trouble with Historical Societies is that they are run by volunteers, and August is probably a bad time anyway. I should take a photograph and find the address of the County Archaeologist. Your local public library will be able to help you. It sounds a bit like a quern (a big stone that grain used to ground on to make flour).
