Spain has several churches, cathedrals and other monuments historical importance. But La Mezquita is something different. It is a symbol of harmony between the two religions, namely Christians and Muslims. Several architects and sculptors have made their mind as well as the construction of this great work. This is one of the most remarkable works of architecture ever created in Europe.
La Mezquita, a mosque that was later transformed into a cathedral is located in the province of Cordoba. This mosque was built in the 10th century by Abd al-Rahman. This mosque has a rare combination of Gothic, Roman, Syrian, Byzantine and Persian architectural design. Some changes believed to have been taken in its design over the years later. The type of horseshoe arch supported by 850 pillars give a distinctive design. Each pillar has a complex of objects and sculptures. Each of the pillars of granite and marble surfaces has.
