We will continue in our studies in this false message is taught to the people of God that heaven is their reward and we should go to heaven to receive their reward when Jesus Christ our God and the king said to John (Apocalypse 22:12) And behold, I come quickly and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. And as Jesus stated in (Matthew 5: 12) 12Rejoice, and be glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets who were before you. This award as we read in the previous section is reserved for us in heaven and Jesus bring with him when he comes. This reward is immortality or eternal life with Jesus and our heritage also includes the earth.

I was a funeral of a loved one recently and the preacher talked about is how this person has received their reward in heaven. Elijah asked Elisha what shall I do for you before I am taken from thee? Note that na not hardly been removed to heaven, but simply removed. Elijah said to him (2 Kings 2:10) And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: However, if you see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be yours, but if not, it will not happen. And then in 11 vese happens. Elijah is taken up and in the spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha. (2 Kings 2: 11) And it came as they continued, and spoke, and behold a chariot of fire and horses of fire, and separated between the two, and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. And those who have followed the ministry of the prophet Elijah accepted the new prophet, declared (2Kings 2:15) And when the son of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed to the ground before him. This is where many Bible scholars and preachers assume that Elijah went to be with God and what is absolutely far from the truth and falsehood. God didn't have a party Waiting on Elijah when he moved to heaven, but it from one place to another. The son of the prophets who said the spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha knew Elijah was not taken to heaven and it is clear that Elias knew what would happen and even spke with them about it. (2 Kings 2: 16-17) 16 and said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants fifty strong men; let go, we pray thee, and seek thy master, lest peradventure the Spirit of the Lord took him, and threw on some mountain or into some valley. And he said: You send it. 17 Here But they urged him until he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men, and they sought three days, but did not find him. These men wanted Elijeah go to just to make sure God didn't leave him stranded on a mountain or a valley. The Bible also reveals that this is true because several years later, the prophet Elijah wrote a letter to Jehoram king of Judah after the fact that he had been removed in the whirlwind of Elisha. Elijah said to Ahaziah He would die because of his sins (2Kings 1:3,17) 3But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah, the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say to them: Is it not because there is not a God in Israel that you go to inquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron? 17So he died, according to the word of the LORD which Elijah had spoken. And Jehoram reigned in his stead in the second year of Joram son of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, because he had no son. Ahaziah reigned for about a year. Jehoshaphat reigned as king of Judah (2 Kings 8: 16) and Joram reigned as king after his father .. Joram reigned after the fact that Elijah was taken into heaven in a whirlwind. Joram was wicked and lead were Judah in rebellion against God and Elijah wrote a letter to Jehoram. (2 Chronicles 21:12-15) 12 and there came a written to him from Elijah the prophet, saying, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David your father, because you have not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat thy father, nor the means Asa king of Judah, 13But walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and hast made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to prostitute themselves, as prostitution for the house of Ahab, and as you kill your brothers in the house of your father, who were better than you: 14Behold, with a great plague people LORD thy knocking, and your children and your wives, and all thy goods: 15 and thou shalt have great sickness by disease of thy bowels, until thy bowels fall due to sick days per day.Elijah did not write this letter from heaven sitting around the throne with Jesus, but God had another location moved at. The Bible is the calm after the rest of Elijah's life, but we know he died for the Bible says (Hebrews 9:27) And as it is for men once to die, but after the trial. As Paul tells us in Hebrews that Elijeah was like the prophets, and as all Enoch see dead but do not receive the promise. (Hebrews 11: 13) These all died in faith not having received the promises, but having seen distance, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. Elie did not taken a sky that we have been so misinformed about where the gates are pearl and streets of gold and the walls are of jasper, but another place and was even used as a prophet by following in his letter to Jehoran king of Judah.
