Cleaning rosewood chest camphor /?

I have a hand carved chest of Okinawa. The sculpture is so complex that is difficult to clean. I usually just dust, but it looks dirty. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I looked all websites, but none of the chest were as detailed as mine. I do not want to spoil everything.

Cleaning something like this will be difficult, no matter what you use but first you should try to discover how it was done. You do not want to use anything that might dissolve the finish. Perhaps the safest thing would be to use a vacuum with a brush to dust. You can get micro vacuum attachments and brushes for detail if necessary. Sometimes a vacuum does not work as well as compressed air, which would be another possibility if you know someone with an air compressor and a blower attachment.
