Christmas ornaments: Use color to Emphasize your Vintage Christmas Ornaments
When you think of Christmas ornaments, you see a bright red and green? Do stop there! Using non-traditional colors can really enhance a theme of vintage Christmas decorations.
Look for Victorian thinking in terms of shades of gemstones. intense and vibrant shades or deep royal, rich red, blue, green, gold and purple mustard all work in the beautiful scenery period.
The Victorians loved color and used it everywhere, so do not be shy. And do not worry about using color at the same time! In fact, the tissues with a period feel like a black cashmere multi-color make a superb addition, try to layer on a sheet or draped in a green setting.
unique color themes can also be very effective. Consider using different shades of red from dusty pink to deep Burgundy, or try the range of purple lilac pale plum.
pale pastels, although less faithful to history, work very well in a setting of Victorian holiday. For a really dramatic drops theme with elegance and sophistication, try using only shades of white, ecru and cream. To create a rustic theme, look for natural tones: warm colors wood, the deep green of fir and pine, apple and cranberry dynamic red and gold of a crackling fire.

And big, bright colored lights are guaranteed to produce a retro style to your tree.
However, if the sixties chic is what you want, be creative with colors. Jump clear, light shades, and do not stop with the red and green. Yellow, lime green, turquoise, magenta and may be part of your chart, and do not forget accents of white, black and silver.

The War Illustrated Album Deluxe, please help??
Following a death in my family, I was left with ten volumes of the Illustrated War Deluxe Album. They are back in red covers with gilt detail from 1915 until 1919. They seem to be in good condition (tissue still intact on the front page). I was wondering if you know something about these books that I'm struggling to find any information on the Internet?
