can i use tap water for my water dragon?
I am going to put a large water pond in my water dragon enclosure. I was wondering if it had to be bottled or i could use tap water?
Will choose the best answer!!
Using tap water in any pet is not recommended, specially reptiles and amphibians. One person cannot compare their water supply to others since every state and locale has different way to treat their water supply. I would recommend using a water treatment to remove hard metals and chemicals. Another great way is to buy a brita pitcher or filter and then tap water should be fine. A $20 item can save prolong your pets life so it should be worth it.
