How to be a professional tattoo artist
As tattoos become more popular these days, people are more and more tattoos or talking to get one. It's good for the industry and even better for those who want to get involved in the tattoo industry. But do not think become a professional tattoo artist is easy. There is really no such thing as easy money by becoming a tattoo artist.
Many candidates tattooist believe that purchasing a DIY kit tattoo advertising magazines tattoo is the starting point to become a successful tattoo artist. Be aware that this equipment is of inferior quality and lack of precision. And after? Find a person in practice. And the result is dozens and dozens of people with tattoos and scars horrible and terrible that will put you in their hate list forever. In addition, a true artist will be reluctant to take you under his wing, because it will have a headache trying to get you back on track.
The alternative is to pay a fee to a tattoo or a workshop to teach you the craft. So what type of fees to pay? As far as I know there are no reputable artists teach you all he knows for a fee. A true artist is not a business man real blood. If an artist is ready to teach you for a small fee, must consider this. Is he willing to part with all he knows what you pay? In Asian countries, the majority of sites tattoo shop Advertising courses tattoo for a small fee. But the problem is that the end of the course, you will come back for a refresher course and another and another. And I understand that after the completion of several of these courses, you will not be able to tattoo correctly. So the chances are that you must pay lots of money in some cases seeking only to make money quickly.
So, how to become a successful tattoo artist? For starters, you need talent. You'll never do it in the tattoo industry by tracing or stenciling, you will be able to make great designs. For not even considered as a tattoo artist, a portfolio is necessary. This will require you to draw lots of great plans to build a portfolio. Your portfolio is proof that you have the skills necessary to succeed in the industry. Without a wallet, not even bother. I remember one fellow South American asking me to train to become a tattoo artist. And he says money is not a problem. I told him that the money is not a problem, I just Draw a dragon color, then combine. He returned after a week, and said he could not draw a Dragon good or Reaper. So, end of story.
Once you have a portfolio to showcase your talents, you will need a mentor, someone who is willing to teach you the trade and share their secrets with you. Now is the tricky thing, tattoo artists do not like far give their secrets. reason is simple because many of them have been let down by their apprentices. Just take the case of my mentor. It took more than 20 people under her wings (all at no cost), but today, only three of its graduates still "recognize" the title of mentor. What happened to the other? They have their own stores, but to inform their customers that they can do the same work as their mentor (also my mentor), but their prices are cheaper. So, you know how much it hurts to be treated as my mentor? If you find a good man, a true professional who is ready to tell you anything about the industry, so grateful.
To become a tattoo artist, you'll need, equipment high quality tattoo machine as a precision power supplies, shading equipment, needles, medical equipment and supplies health. You will also need to know about cleanliness and what can and can not be reused, and how to clean and sterilize your equipment. Professional tattoo artists are popular for a number of reasons, but mainly because they are clean and very talented.
You succeed in the tattoo industry, but you will need to be talented, motivated and dedicated. If you want to earn lots of money as an tattoo artist, you're wasting your time. Become a tattoo artist because you love art and love to create breathtaking pieces of body art. Be prepared to work for free, especially if you ask someone to stop and share a secret or two with you, take their advice. You will probably need.
What you do is apprentice and you work for a tattoo for a very low salary. To do this, so that Or she can take you under his wing and show you how to take your artistic talent and transfer it to the art known as tattooing. If the master you are an apprentice, that's fine, then along the way you'll also learn how to shop, what it takes to succeed, and do not …
How long does it take? Well … it depends how fast you pick it up and the quality of your master. It not unusual for tattoo artists to apprentice for more than one artist in their career … and learning from each can last several years.
This is not to discourage you … but the guys from Miami Ink did not just "decide" to become a rock star tattoo artist one day. They just scraped by for many years before they become successful … and, chances are, you will, too.
What materials are tricky for an art project?
