Dallas cosmetic dentist Dr. Mark Sowell Explains Extreme Makeover Smile
What is an Extreme Makeover Smile and I can afford a?
Often I get an email asking me how are porcelain veneers? The real question is, how much will it cost me to have an extreme makeover or improvement? The next question is what is an extreme smile makeover? It is a medium term to enthuse and involves the transformation of an attractive smile in the great classical beauty contest and bleached or bright Hollywood smile. A smile enhancement can say same thing for some people and for others it may be much more limited in scope, depending on the patient's appearance is the research.
Therefore, without seeing the smiles of patients, in person or in pictures, it is impossible to know. Let me explain why. A smile highly variable and unique to each person. A similar question would be to ask a home remodeling contractor is the cost to transform your home without seeing your home. A walk through and inspection would be necessary. For a new panel lighting and electrical wiring must be good example. Let's review what I need to know before I can tell you what an extreme makeover can cost.
The first thing I must see is your best smile. I'm looking to see if you view the upper and lower teeth and gums if your superior performance? If you want a change of color dramatically beyond what money you have and provide a broad smile that shows your upper and lower teeth, you may be looking to deal with both your top and cut to display. If you show your gums, you may need to upgrade gums or gum lift to get an interesting result. If you have a big smile that you can display more than 12 teeth when you smile or you can show as little as 8 teeth. Younger patients require less of treatment to achieve an excellent result. patients aged more mature over time structural damage, large fillings and clenching and grinding. Besides a beautiful smile, we need a healthy smile so it holds for a long time. The next thing we look after the shape of lips, smile and display of gums in a smile is the position of the two incisors. Are they the right length, they are long enough, and they are in the smile enough? A Once their location is ideal, the ends of the upper teeth should form an arc or a curve parallel to the lower lip and create a form horseshoe complete a corner of the lip or smile at each other. This allows the teeth to reflect light evenly and no dark areas (shadows) in the smile.
A beautiful smile is determined by several factors. The shape of your lips and symmetry as the framework a table. Then, the display is like rubber mats around the portrait. Finally, the teeth are the subject of the portrait and should ideally be centered in the image in three dimensions. The shape of your lips and symmetry as part of a table. The symmetry and harmony of your smile appearing the left side and right side with your nose being the dividing line, the color of your teeth and their position in your mouth under the lip and the amount the teeth displayed during a smile all contribute to the impact of your smile on people's perceptions. As a cosmetic dentist I can affect the whole of these elements, except the basic shape of the lips. When I do a smile make-over I use all these elements to better the patient to get the result optimal.
I begin with a mental image of an ideal smile for a patient of my years of experience. This image is based on research on the perception of beauty. But not all people want the beauty queen of Hollywood smile. Most of the time people are not sure what they want, they just know they want an improvement or an improvement. I must know what they think they want, and then show them what they wanted to look like this improvement. Then a picture of the patient, I draw the improvements I see they have not mentioned and ask them they would like to see the photo. I think patients should know all their options and have an idea of the finished result before you start. It is a process where I can find out what the patient understands and wants. Some patients know what they want, but patients often get focused on one thing in their they do not smile and develop a blind spot for other potential areas for improvement. Once the flaw is that they Corrected suddenly see the other areas they had not seen before. If they want to see what I mean I show them the design and provide to create two images, one with the improvements they smile and asked that additional improvements that I see. Of This way, patients can explore all options before you start and are not disappointed by the results if they chose limited improvements, since This can often require their development must be redone to make the desired improvements further.
This process eliminates disappointment that the patient and I know deep in the end result before you start. This is the starting point for a general idea of the scope desired treatment. Hence, a tax Ball Park can be discussed. A picture is worth a thousand words. Now the patient can choose. Hence, we have much more diagnostics, you will hear of mock-ups in your mouth with wax-ups of prototype models. I use all these means of diagnosis when the patient and I a good idea of what the patient will happy to finish and what the fee would be. Hence, it is fair to put the icing on the cake.
Once the patient has chosen, we use all the elements above to get the best results, beginning with an assessment of the display of gum on the extreme smile. I will raise, lower or the gums so that the patient shows appropriate amount of gum in their smile and a horizontal line connecting the tops of the teeth will be roughly parallel to the upper lip if necessary. Then I turn on the position of the two front teeth in a smile. Are they focused the picture and we see enough to be proportionate to their face? Do we want to bring them out to the lip rises higher in the smile to see more teeth and make teeth brighter because they are further to reflect light and brighten their smile? Do we want to return the smile and bite can accommodate the lower teeth? Are they a tire and a grinder and how it will affect the muscle memory of the lower jaw during the grinding or chewing? How the length and width affect the tightness of the upper lip, lower lip and S, V and F sounds? All this is evaluated in the mock-ups or prototypes to ensure maximum comfort. Once the ideal position of the two upper teeth are set for aesthetics and function then we study the length of the remaining upper teeth, and place them on an arc roughly parallel to the lower lip to give a pleasing appearance young. As we age, we tend to grind our teeth showing upper shorter than the rest of our upper teeth back in our smile is what is called a reverse smile line. Can I evaluate the harmony and symmetry of your smile appearing from left to right with a median line between the two upper front teeth. What we call the arrangement of your teeth, making them ideal proportion to your face and another. Then I look at the face of the arch upper incisors. Do you have a horseshoe shape of Nice from the corner of the mouth at the corner of his mouth? If you do not have your bow can have shadows in the corner areas of the mouth behind your upper back teeth look darker like a shadow without light reflect off them. Thus, they may be the same color as your front teeth and maybe even had bleached, but in vain, they always seem dark in your smile. Do you have big lips that look like much, but casts a shadow on your teeth? This could make them look darker, then we may want them out. But if you have a tight upper lip would not be recommended. Finally, I look at the color of your teeth. What is your color skin? The darker the skin the white contrast and you have your teeth appear. Blue-eyed blonde tend to have shades of very pale skin and thus their teeth seem to always have a yellow tinge and usually need shades whiter teeth to indemnify and not appear in yellow. There are hundreds Check that the surfaces a good cosmetic dentist involves learning the art, reflection of light, texture, contrast, illusions aesthetic etc., but it would probably get to sleep and they do not apply to everyone. The main thing is that if you have a particularly difficult case, you must make sure you use a person who has the training, artistic ability and experience to use all these elements to your advantage.
A Once all these factors are considered aesthetic I produce a computer image of what I think would be the most attractive smile for the patient based on I know their personality and style. Can I file another image with the improvements they have requested. The patient then reviews the images and we review them together. We could talk for weeks, but it is the comparison of these images that turn the switch for many patients and see things they did not see before. Some still want limited improvements, others want change, but for all that there are no buyers remorse as they understand and can visualize their options before starting. Now the patient can understand why we can not quote a tax on the Internet or by phone. The smile is a very personal thing where the audience sees all the details of treatment every day, just like your skin, eyes and nose. Your smile has the power to make you look ten years younger or older than your years, more than any procedure for aesthetic enhancement of others. May imitate nature and make the person appear as they have been genetically blessed with a beautiful smile and teeth, or it can scream fake and artificial. Especially in the dental environment today, where most of the work of porcelain is exported abroad (abroad) reduce labor costs. Many dental laboratories have closed as a dentist is most often send their work to large laboratories practicing low prices and in turn send work to Asia for the manufacture of porcelain by technicians who make as little as $ 50.00 per month. Dentists never meet or communicate with the technicians offshore and in my experience, the results speak for themselves. Unfortunately, the highly skilled work is high, that the job requires special training and talent, it is a work of art. The patient who does not do their research and their shops by only the prices are most vulnerable to this situation. I always recommend patients ask to see photos of before and after the case of the doctor's work, wonder how many cases they do a month and ask questions about the level of training they have in the aesthetic work. 80% of dentistry is the U.S. is considered as one and two teeth in dentistry on back teeth. Excuse me down on the subject, back to our patients to choose what they want improvements smile.
Once the patient has made his choice of the appearance they would have us also discuss the health of their mouth to include biology, structure and function at their appointment with the doctor. What good is a beautiful smile does not last long? Finally, the treatment is decided and nominations costs, and financing are discussed. We offer interest-free financing from third parties to help patients get the result they want at a payment Affordable monthly. Now, with all the practical issues that are addressed to go to treatment. We incorporate models (binding material shaped tooth by me, like a sculpture Freehand patients' teeth) and photographs taken to confirm the patient's life looks like. Models of the teeth and models are taken to make prototypes. Prototypes are the first set of teeth that can be modified in the mouth after placement. Here is where we fine tone or style tooth shape and color. They are a test of all the design choices we made. While the prototypes are made often we treat gum disease is present, change the gums or teeth whitening if necessary. Then we will raise and reshape teeth prototypes. The patient must wear these prototypes for 2-5 days and return to give me feedback on the chosen color, arrangement, style, shape, size, etc. Once the changes are made on the prototypes and the patient see what they want us to take pictures, models and sometimes our ceramist see the patient on the spot for special needs or requests. Now, the ceramist begin the detailed work of art of creating a smile porcelain require a very large number of working hours to provide a good life as a result. On average, in a few weeks depending on the amount of work performed, the patient returns to have removed the permanent and prototypes tried. The patient then approved the final smile. If I or the patient wants to make changes once again my ceramist site will be there to make changes on the ground. Then, the final result is beautiful bound permanently in place. Through this process, the patient is to assess all options and change it as they discover the look they like best by bringing in their own mouth. Very often, they change from of what they thought at first wanted. That is why our system is so important because it allows patients to self discover their view like best.
this kind of writing would you call that?
The windows fogged up, tangled hair. your cheekbones, lips of coral. eyes quarter moving up when you smile. a stain on the porcelain skin, a fringe swept across your forehead. I love you well, the snapshot. portraits, polaroids, and albums in your tiny shell that you breathe in. soothing sweet tea, your melodic voice. Life is sublime.
Wow … me tear … Because it is not sad or anything, but because … It's so beautiful … I would describe it as free verse poetry … but could also be an excerpt from a memory. If you write a memoir, remembering the girl (guess it's a girl, correct me if I'm wrong = P) thoughts are often written in short, jerky sentences run to show the spirit glancing between different thoughts … so it could be a small part of a thesis. But I think it would be better than poetry. Defintley can imagine this person … appears as a statement next to a piece of good work artwork.Very! If you have time, answer some of mine, click on my name =) Thanks!
