Found an abstract painting signed by V.Hoople. It is 21×59 and shows a city or palace gate. Request info.?
It appears to be at dusk. There are two lamps on either side plus three lit torches on the right wall. The setting appears to be oriental. There is a lady in a kimono crossing the street in the foreground and a carriage passing through the gate.
