Phurpa From

does anyone know where to get a real phurpa? (tibetan ritual dagger with blade crafted from human bone)?
i don’t even know if such things are legal in this country.
i’ve found many phurpa’s on the internet, but none with the bone blade … maybe it is illegal in america to have items constructed from human bone?
(we don’t kill people to get the bone. we wait until they die from natural causes and then use the bone)
it’s ok if the handle is silver, bronze or whatever, but the blade needs to be bone, preferably human … perhaps the bone of a yak or tiger, etc would suffice if their are laws against using human bone in the states
sometimes misspelled “phurba”
There are probably laws against using any sort of bone in this way in the states – there certainly will be for yak and tiger bones – they are endangered species and all products made from them are illegal whether they have died naturally or not.
