The Coral Castle, Homestead, Florida

Coral Castle is one of the most amazing structures ever built. In terms of achievements, He has been compared to Stonehenge, ancient Greek temples, and even the great pyramids of Egypt. It is amazing, some even say miraculous because it was extracted, fashioned, transported, and constructed by one man – Edward Leedskalnin who was 5 feet tall Latvian who weighed only 100 pounds.

Edward Leedskalnin and Coral Castle story

Coral Castle is a stone structure that has been created by the Latvian-American eccentric Edward Leedskalnin. It lies south of Miami at Homestead-city Miami Dade County, Florida. The location is at the intersection of U.S. 1 (South Dixie Highway) and Southwest 157th Avenue. The structure contains numerous megalithic stones (Mainly limestone formed from coral), each weighing several tons.

Edward Leedskalnin was a young man living in Latvia, where he been abandoned by his fiancee Agnes Scuffs 16 years only one day before their wedding.
