Dudhwa National Park
Dudhwa National Park was created in 1958 under the Wildlife Sanctuary. In 1977, he became a National Park and Tiger Reserve in 1988. The park is located on the borders of India Nepal and along the foothills of the Himalayas.

Nawabganj Bird Sanctuary
The Nawabganj Bird Sanctuary, Uttar Pradesh is the main hub for migratory birds during the winter months. It is one of the most important wildlife sanctuaries spread over an area of 3 square kilometers. The sanctuary has been declared as a protected area in the year 1984 by the Indian government.
A shallow lake is the main area that serves as a place for waterfowl. Most of the rare birds come from Siberia and Europe, traveling around 5000 miles a year. This includes Pintail, Gadwall, Coo, Mallard Greylag Goose and teal cotton. Other local birds are the Sarus, Peacock, White Ibis, Bronze Winged Jacana, Tern Vulture, King Raven, Bee Eater and many others. The Interpretive Centre gives birds a lot of information on birds and their behavior.
Nawabganj Bird Sanctuary is only 35 km from Lucknow. It is best to visit from November to March.
