Antique lamps – a fire in Paris Accent Classic
When we speak of early 19th Century Paris "porcelain, we think, smart. For smart indeed, this period has been smart, sharp design.
A period of neoclassical design, the return to the classic, or "with great respect for classical antiquity "Historically speaking, the period has its origin at a much earlier, in 1765, with the transition to the great symbol of the classic, ancient Greece and Rome, with inspiration in particular from Roman copies of Hellenistic sculptures and in particular through engravings, for example, in the wood of the ruins of Palmyra. Even Greece was all-but-not visited, saw a rough backwater of the Empire Ottoman and dangerous to explore.
This neo-classicism of the 18th century was truly derived from the idea "of the ancient classical period. The period of "classical" is generally considered the apex of Greek civilization around 500 BC, which focuses on the proportion and harmony.
Huge interest has been generated for this neo-classical chip by early Archaeology and Greek vases excavated in southern Italy, which became models for new types of ceramics, namely, jasperwave Wedgwood in England (including John Flaxman many drawings) and Sevres in France.
This period of very intelligent design is divided on a time line from 1765 until its decline around 1830. However, throughout this period about 65 years of constant awakenings style developed.
From 1796, the chaos of the French Revolution began to subside to give way to equality, political instability known as the Directorate. In this period of design, always with the emphasis put on the classic French Empire style has evolved.
The period is known as the Empire, because of its identification with the First French Empire and the reign of Napoleon Bonaparte, emperor of France (1795-1815). The Napoleonic style agrandiosised by symbols of the Roman imperial power. The Empire style carry of Napoleon's will to revive the grandeur of imperial Rome luxury, even Interiors, as at Fontainebleau were redesigned to include classical columns, molding, and other Greek and Roman motifs.
While French art, architecture, painting, furniture, clothing and design, including silver and porcelain, which became one of the most elegant periods and drawings never seen, the style has swept Europe with its influence to London to St. Petersburg. The style has never been surpassed, characterized by its sobriety and simplicity, moderation and purity of form.
A notable example of this period style is "Paris porcelain. Rarely, if ever, has the shape and decoration of European porcelain has reached such standards.
Many are the names of famous factories of Paris, many belonging to families French aristocracy. These plants were mostly located in or near the city of Paris, but there were a number of small factories Furthermore, all goods in hard paste, which are generally known as "Paris porcelain. They were all started after about 1770, and twenty or different decision makers came and went between that date and 1830.
Much of the porcelain was real, in fact sent to Limoges Paris to be decorated. Paris is most famous for its porcelain decorating small studio for porcelain production.

On 16 June – 19 June 1815 that the Empire of Napoleon Bonaparte at Waterloo and fell the Bourbon monarchy was restored under Louis XVIII.
This period known as "Restoration" period was most closely aligned with the styles of the old empire, remains, fines doubled elegant neoclassical.
We see the last days of the classic French Empire style in 1830, with the end of the reign of Louis XVIII
