I have just started playing Mah Jongg…anyone know where to find quality game boards and pieces?
I was set to buy one online through a popular search/shop bott but one of the reviews said that the tiles were poorly painted so much so that it was hard to tell the difference between the number 4 and several other characters. I want a good quality tile—and of course, numbers you can read. I dont see name brands on any of the classified ads or private sites. Can you tell me what names (seller, vendor or brand names) that would be worth my time? Is there a better way to tell what I am getting? I just learned that buying bone/bamboo may not be great (though everyone loves them) because the tiles can be rounded and difficult to stack…. ugh…this just shouldnt be that big of a deal….thanks for your time and input. Where did you get your mah jong set? are you happy with it?
if you have an oriental decor store in your mall, or in a shopping strip in your area, they might have them. if they don’t, they might know where you can buy one.
