Extend The Life Of Your Bonsai Tree
Bonsai is an art that takes time to learn and master. Those who retreat’t ever done it before should take program and read literature because one misstep could hurt the hierarchy. Here are some of the techniques worn when budding the ranking.
Ever noticed how you look poor when your coat is too long? Well, something of a related life also occurs with bonsai foliage. This is the incentive that the hobbyists should natty it from time to time so it still has the preferred look.
A brace of cutters isn’t enough when the kindling are the puzzle. This can be preset with a procedure called pruning. A harvester will be worn to make this work and after the work has been done; sealant helps the bonsai hierarchy heal.
In order for new kindling to grow on the ranking, the hobbyist should employ the skill known as pinching. You factually pinch certain parts with the finger and the thumb to be able to feel the ranking.
When bonsai plants grow, the hobbyist will have to convey it from one unfilled pot to a larger one. Part of the route includes search pruning, which is very alike to what is done on the twigs. It is advisable to get the pot and new soil organized because they could die when exposed to the basics for a long time.
A bending jack or wires can be used. This will aid the individual in getting the preferred profile for the bonsai hierarchy.
One skill to make the bonsai tree look new again is called defoliation. This means removing all the grass so they will grow again. It may not see like much but you will see the difference as minor trees that didn’t subsist before will begin on the branches.
The last technique that is very easy to learn is feeding. Everyone knows that water can give the tree its nutrients but just like flowers and vegetables, the use of fertilizers can help in its expansion. There is the liquid kind but some hobbyists may also try the tablet account.
Bonsai trees may last for living if they are taken burden of well. It is good to know that there is no right or abuse answer when creating a certain aura. The hobbyist would just have to learn the techniques from somebody knowledgeable then see what happens.
My family and I own 2 jade bonsai trees from the 1940′s would that have any significant worth today??
It appears that they are sitting in a possible brass hand painted pot….the flowers on the tree are a pink and the leaves are green….
WOW!
Yes, definitely bonsai trees are worth a lot today. For example, if you visit this website: https://www.bonsaiwest.com/gallery/page2.html you can see that a Juniper (most common in the US) Bonsai Tree that is 60 years old (more or less like yours) is worth $5500.
You might want to verify what type of Bonsai do you have, you can research it on the web, and then, if you want to, try to sell it. You can sell it either on e-bay, to any one who is interested, possibly a collector or another bonsai seller. You can even sell it to Japanese Garden Parks (all around the world), or to an organization.
Your bonsai trees may loose value if they have not been properly taken care of over the years. You see, bonsai trees are also very artistic plants, one must trim them and mold the main log/branch/whatever to make a nice flowing form. So if your bonsai trees are just bushy and crazy looking, they might not be worth anything. Would you mind posting a picture somewhere and posting the link here so I can take a look at then and tell you if they might be worth something?
I hope this helps.
