Feng Shui and Religion are two different arenas. Feng Shui is about the chi in your environment and can be broken down into the Five Elements (wood, fire, earth, metal, and water). Therefore, the point of Feng Shui is to manipulate the chi just using the Five Elements.

Yes, many Chinese Feng Shui masters use Chinese Gods or Chinese Figures to serve as cures or enhancements. This is because the masters like to use objects that are related to their culture since they are more familiar with them. They feel that these objects, because of their spirtual nature, will also be more powerful However, this does not mean you have to use them as well.

What you need to keep in mind is that the objects use in Feng Shui need to be about the Five Elements. You will notice that objects used as cures in Feng Shui are made of different materials. Depending on the type of material used, shape, and color of the object, the object can be classified under the Five Elements. For example, lately there have been many objects made of brass, this is the metal element. Most figurines are made of ceramic, this can be classified as earth. The lucky bamboos and money tress are classified as wood.

If you need to use a cure, find out what element you need. Then just find another object from your culture or religion that will satsify that elemental need. For example, if you need the earth element, then use some natural crystals. If you need water, put up a fountain or fish tank. If you need metal, use old coins, they don’t have to be Chinese coins. If you need wood, go buy a plant that you like. If you need fire, use objects that lights up.

Feng Shui is about the Five Elements, never forget that and let that be your guide in finding the proper cures.
