What is the difference between an original and documented art work?
I’m applying to an Art school and the application says:
“All applicants may submit original or documented work. The two required assignments should be submitted in the original format. A portfolio may contain a combination of original and documented work.”
Does “original format” mean give them the actual piece, or does it mean if you put it on a CD for submittion, you can’t enhance it, like use Photoshop to brighten it, etc.
And does “documentation” mean putting it on a CD or slide or other form of electronic submittion ?
Usually, ‘documented’ means work that has been published or displayed i some format. The documentation is proof that it is your own work, and not someone else’s.
