How do I remove paint form glass?
I have a solid, fetched glass paper weight that has some silvery paint on the outside that makes it look rainbow inside the glass sphere. I want the paint stuff off so it is completely see-through. Any ideas on how to remove the paint? I have tried soaking it with soap and hot water, and even nail polish (which generally removes anything), nothing has worked.
Turpentine is recommended by some glass manufacturer’s as being effective for removing paint as well as for removing silicone installation residue.
When using turpentine, make sure to air out rags and properly dispose of cleaning supplies. Dampen the cotton ball or a corner of the clean rag with turpentine and work gently over the dried paint stain, one section at a time.
Refresh cotton ball or turn to a clean section of the rag as necessary.
