Whilst in New York City recently my daughter took a photo of a statue that we cannot identify.?
It is a gold statue of a woman standing on/above three horses. It looks to be in or near Central Park as there are trees in the background. I’ve searched on the Internet but can’t find out what statue it is. Can anyone help please? Thank you.

It is the Maine Monument at the Merchant’s Gate in Central Park (the main entrance from 59th Street and Columbus Circle). It is a tribute to the 258 men who died on the battleship Maine, the cause of the Spanish-American War in 1898
