Shanghai Day Tour
If you are traveling to Shanghai and thinking about booking some guided sightseeing, you might consider a full day tour so that most of your sights are visited for one bulk price. One such tour is the “Best of Shanghai Day Tour”.
On this tour, you will be picked up from your hotel and first taken to the Yu Yuan Garden. This lavish garden is located in the Old City first established in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty. It has faced damage and near destruction until the Shanghai government stepped in and repaired the gardens in 1956. The Yu Garden was declared a national monument in 1982.
You will then stop at The Bund- one of the most famous tourist destinations in Shanghai. The Bund is a waterfront area in the Huangpu District that has dozens of historical buildings, located along the Huangpu River.
After that, you will visit the Shanghai Museum of Ancient Chinese Art. Exhibits include over 120,000 pieces such as ancient sculptures, ceramics, jade pieces, paintings, furniture and more.
Following lunch at a local restaurant, you will be taken for a drive down the French Concession where you will transfer to the Shanghai Arts and Crafts Museum. At the museum one can watch things such as kites, snuff bottles, and various pieces of art be made in the workshop and even purchase them. From there will be a visit to the Jade Buddha Temple. The Temple was founded in 1882 and houses priceless jade Buddha statues imported from Burma.
The last stop on this tour will be at Xin Tian Di. Xin Tian Di is the lively entertainment district full of restaurants, boutiques, shopping and bars. You can either stay here, or head back to your hotel with the group. Shanghai is very vibrant and beautiful. Much is to be said for booking a guided tour, for this way you can see the most important sights of the city and as is the case with this particular one, you see a lot for one price.
Book cheap tickets to Shanghai and have an experience of a lifetime.

The Art of the Limoges Box $10.09 First invented in Paris in the early 1700s, Limoges boxes were immensely popular that century. The small, hand-painted porcelain containers were used by all types of people – secret lovers, bawdy noblemen, even political dissidents – to express their innermost feelings. The popularity of the boxes waned around 1800 when they virtually disappeared after the French Revolution; however, they have exp… |

Value of Chinese snuff bottles?
I was given a set of 4 Chinese snuff bottles as a gift. They were brought from China from a women who lived there. they are all hand painted inside and he is a Chinese scroll painting called People The scene of the River. It comes with a pouch of gold thread to hold them all. I do not think any of them have been used, they does have an odor to them, Im just curious if there is a common set of buyers for the bottles of snuff or is it something value? Thank you for input. I do not intend to sell them anyway, but Im just curious.
They are very frequent. It depends on their age, whether glass or plastic or glass, etc. crystal normal. They are very pretty. If you have received 4 as a gift I do not think they have that much value. And no they have not been used. They are for decoration only. I have a few myself. The most expensive is an old, about 300 years, and not as "brilliant" and has a top made from ivory. Most are now just made for tourists. You do not have to seek an expert. A bit like the jewelry manufacturers.
