Is your first high school year the most important year throughout your four years?
I know all four years are important but do colleges/universities look at your first year as closely as the rest?I hope I got my question out fully and understandable.
Your junior year is your most important year, and the second semester is more important than the first. First semester senior year is important depending on what colleges your applying to. As for your first year, keep in mind that if you do poorly it can lower your cumulative. My friends Ed and Rick have higher GPAs than I do, but they’ve been pretty inconsistent, specifically during their freshman year, so I still have a higher cumulative. Your extracirriculars, SAT/ACT scores, out of school activities like jobs or service, and background all play a big role in college application. So your first year is definitely not the most important year, and you’ve got plenty of time to improve if you’re having trouble, but it does factor into the big picture, at least a little.
