What is exactly happening when the moon is at – quarter moon?
Why do people attribute out of the ordinary events to , oh it must be a full moon!
At 1/4 moon, half of the moons surface is facing the sun, but we can only see 1/4 of this bit. We are also looking at 3/4 of the other bit of the moon (the half not facing the sun) – but because it’s dark, it doesn’t show up against the rest of the sky.
Make sense?
I don’t know why weird things happen at a full moon. Maybe we just think there’s a link, when there isn’t one.
