Antique Chinese Qianlong porcelain teapot?
I have a teapot that was made ??in the 1700s in China, I am trying to find more information about this. To me it seems unique, but whatever. I am very worried that this is not true – the wear on the base of the teapot is totally inconsistent with an article that claims to be 300 years. The color palette does not seem "right" – the colors are too garish for Qianlong (yellow is too strong, too green and purple limestone Qianlong was a soft purple, not a pucey purple). It is roughly painted in a design that does not look Traditional Chinese. The dragon is quite a common motif manage and although it is very difficult to judge without seeing the actual object, it seems like a piece of export 20thC possibly Macao (although the brand does not say Qianlong). I would take him to an auction house reputable or expert to do it properly seen. The links below show the colors you expect from this period of Chinese porcelain
